    Agressive:
    Don't let groups form
    kill off as many as you can early on
    don't kill doors right away let them suspect eachother
    finish the job, don't let witnesses get away or if you do don't hurt them so they become suspects
    barely ever
    Passive:
    Find a group to join quickly.
    suspect other people, make your group tk others.
    GET THE FLAMETHROWER, people will not suspect you as much and it allows you to waste it a little at a time by just turning it on for a sec and your group won't notice that much.
    do not let groups of more than 6 people to thrive it hurts you more than cause it makes tking quite common among them

    And for both types just remember:

    WITH MY BITCH SLAPS

    ALSO IF YOUR A NOOB DON'T OPT IN PLZ FOR THE SAKE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY.

    THE THING IS SOOOO EASY

    1: don't go in groups or else you will lose control
    2: get doors to 1 health (do not destroy them)
    this way when you lock a guy in with you they will run to a really weak door and they will lock it...you slash it once then it will die..you get to chase him around while the rest of the group waits by the door you locked
    3: separating people from everyone else is good because then they will expect that you killed that guy therefore creating more tension in the group
    4: don't feel too safe in a group and get everyone to trust you..then at your first chance lock 1-2 people in with you then eat them
    5: waste flame..flame is your biggest enemy if you get hit with flame you are dead you need to waste it
    6: people have a tendency to stim after you when they dont trust you...
    what you need to do is get over a door then when the first guy comes over you have to lock it..now that they have no stim you can eat them easily

    Don't get in groups.

    WASTE FLAME ASAP. IF they get flame be careful against flamer, either kill when he's alone or waste his flame with hit and runs.

    Either go all out and kill fast to not let groups form, or you can just let people get suspicious of each other for a while if you have time and the stupid ones will thin themselves out.

    Nade groups then run. Because it's fun, and you can get anywhere from 1 to even 4 marines at a time with a real well tossed nade.

    Hide behind walls to "listen in" on their conversations.

    Lock doors to separate people. Reduce doors to low HP so u can easily destroy them if you want.

    Destroy the comms station, if they are guarding it lure them away by destroying other stuff.

    Use killed people's colors to confuse people (after hiding their corpses)

    Use burrow/move underground (under mountains in right side of liberty)

    Run away and hide and stay in thing mode to heal faster if you need to.

    Hide wrenches/radios/medkits/anything you dont want them to have.

    Pick them off one by one and say ROAR when you want to scare them  lol!

    As this is a very unused and not well known tactic, I'll explain it decently thoroughly.

    BODY ARMOR

    -You can take approx. 8 hits from the thing. Use this to judge how far you can make it when being attacked to determine a good micro spot to aim for.

    -You are the group Tank. You should lead the way for the party. Use circling tactics and weaving patterns to lengthen the time the Thing chases you while the party fires. DON'T BE AFRAID TO DIE, just stall and slow the thing as much as possible while your teammates spew damage.

    - Center yourself near micro locations even while traveling. Never leave yourself in the open.

    -You can use stimpack now, although not as fast as regular marines, it does speed you up. Use this to aim for micro locations. Aiming for doors helps in the short run, but without a micro location, you're out.

    -Don't solo with Bodyarmor. Period. Use groups. Nothing more.

    BASIC MARINE ITEM SET-UPS

    Word Key:
    G-Grenade
    M-Molotov
    MK-MedKit
    IG-Infrared Goggles
    BD-BodyArmor
    F-Flamethrower
    X-Non offensive item (MedKit/Molotov)

    Full Offense: M-G-G-G This is a fully offensive set-up. Solo'ing is the most suggested method as groups will only hinder you.
    -Don't be afraid to waste 'nades, go all out.
    -Stim and start your nades as soon as you see the thing, leave him no recovery time and consistently pursue him.

    Slight Offense: M-M-G-G This is a slight offense set-up. Solo'ing or teaming is reasonable, although Solo'ing can be difficult with only two 'nades.
    -Play confidently, look for openings and don't waste your resources, but don't be sparse with them either.
    -Stick around micro spots and attempt to trap with your mols, and drag the thing down 1/4 of health before using your nades preferrably.

    Neutral: M-MK-G-G (My preferred set-up), This is a neutral set-up. It's preferably played with a team, but skilled players can solo.
    -All tactics apply for all set-ups due to this vast versatility. Be confidant, you have a medkit if you messup.
    -Center around microspots, and be sparse with your resources using micro spots whenever possible rather than items. Use nades if the thing is at 50% health, and debatably 75% if you're confidant.

    Slightly Defensive: 3 items/BD-MK-G-M/MK-M-G-M/MK-M-G-MK This is a slightly defensive playstyle. Most always played with a team.
    -Hang in the middle of the group, and spray damage when possible. Do not chase.
    -Only use Mols/'Nades when ABSOLUTELY neccisary, or if a direct kill can almost definitely be obtained.
    -Use Micro spots consistently, ESPECIALLY if using armor.
    -No need to be overly cautious due to MedKits, but safe play is advised.

    Full Defense: BD-X-X-X/F-X-X-X Fully Defensive Play. Solo'ing isn't an option.
    -Stay with groups at all times.
    -Stay almost always with Micro spots.
    -Provide support, DO NOT CHASE.

    OTHER OPTIONS

    Anything with Goggles: Goggles allow a more front based play style and allows some chasing. Depending on nades, solo'ing is a definite possibility. Heavy support is advised, and verbal warnings of burrowed things locations is suggested.

    Flamer with Offensive gear (Grenades): Possible solo'ing is possible. Micro spot fixation is required to be succesful, and atleast 2 nades is suggested. Frontward group play and chasing is possible as well. This can also be an AMAZING defensive set-up, as the Thing can't easily break your group with you there.

    Body Armor Tankage
    : As explained earlier, Tanking is an easily viable option, although isn't suggested for newer players.
