    I would really like to have and achievement system or at least something that allows players to earn extra points every game or so for doing something out of the ordinary or at least challenges them to do more.

    I am for both, but I would rather have something like extra points for getting a certain type of kill or just simply healing your teamates.

    I honestly don't think achievements would be fantastic. They would be cool, but what would they do for you? Give you MORE useless Vic points? There's nothing to spend Vic points now so thats pretty useless. And achievements don't fit the idea of getting marine points or thing points because they are pretty unrelated. I need to give that more thought.

    What I wouldn't mind is extra variables in the game. So you get a marine point for every point of health you heal a teammate for. THAT would definitely be something to make you consider helping others instead of hoarding it for yourself.

    Again, more thought needed.

    Yes, let's implement something annoyingly hard and finnicky and that will probably need balancing, but it will 'look pretty', versus a better opting mechanism.

    sure sure, achievements themselves are fine alone but kinda boring.


    and i didnt mean for physical appearance either, thatd be too easy to differentiate between players

    just incredibly small changes.

    maybe like 5 hp more = very slightly longer bleedout? who knows

    The thing with customization is it becomes three things. A) Good players who are already difficult to defeat in micro locations can potentially get better and B) balance issues and C) The Thing can not assess how much it can take on. For example, 3 marine continuously shooting right now, you can guess the damage. But someone with a slow fire rate but high damage makes the fight unpredictable by The Thing because you THINK you can take time to get that last swipe in to kill the second marine but the third marine of course has high damage resulting in Thing dying. (Or something along the sorts)
